| Nine animals have been removed from a trailer in Wirt County after the owner moved to California, abandoning them.
The Wirt County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant related to animal cruelty on the trailer located on Mockingbird Lane.
Authorities said they removed nine dogs, three deceased.
An investigation is continuing.
The surviving dogs are in the care of the Humane Society of Parkersburg.
