Jacqueline "Jackie" Gumm, 79 of Smithville, West Virginia, went to Heaven on
Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's
Campus, Parkersburg, WV.
She was born March 25, 1932 at Racket, Ritchie Co. WV, a daughter
of the late John Paul and Ova Bernice Riddle Burnside.
She was a homemaker
and farmer. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church and attended
Tanner Chapel. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and
her faith in God was a big part of her life.
Surviving is her son, John Gumm (Phyllis Spaulding), White Pine WV;
daughters, Linda Bush (Russell), Susan Frymier (Tony Riddle),
Judy Johnson (Bill), all of Smithville WV, and Cindy Nichols (Roger "Bub") of St. Marys, WV; sister, Jeineen Haddox of Burnt House WV;
grandchildren, Sheri Wade (Allen), Lisa Hammond (Roy), Terry Frymier (Kelli), John Lake Gumm (Deidra Brannon), Nicki Heiney (Eric), Tiffany Dearing (Jared), Christopher George and Jenni Nichols; great grandchildren, Taylor Hammond,
Lexi Wade, Erica Heiney and Kila Frymier; and special family, Maxine Gumm, Mallory and Robin Riddle.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gumm was preceded in death by her
husband, Jennings Earl "Mutt" Gumm and brother, John Paul Burnside, Jr.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 8 at Hardman Chapel, Smithville, WV with Pastor Alfred Hickman officiating.
Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, WV was in charge of arrangements.
