Willard O. Lemon, 75, of Lecanto, Florida, died May 21, 2002 at his residence.
He was born March 26, 1927 in Parkersburg, WV, a son of Genevieve Lemon of Spencer, WV and the late Alvin Lemon.
He was owner of Village Motors and was a member of the Studebaker Drivers Club. He was a member of Moriah Lodge
#38 AF&AM, a 32nd. degree mason, a member of the Temple of Tampa and a member of the Scottish Rite-Valley of Ocala,
Florida. He formerly attended the First baptist Church of Grantsville, WV and was a US Navy veteran, serving during
WWII.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Iris Lemon; one son, James A. Lemon of Grantsville, WV; two step-sons,
Larry Schreckengost of Iverness, FL and Jimmy Schreckengost of Dayton, Ohio; two step-daughters, Loretta Smith of
Grantsville and Frances Malson of Harrisville, WV; two brothers, James O. Lemon of Belpre, Ohio and Donald L. Lemon of
Marrietta, Ohio; one sister, Ola Jean Parsons of Spencer, WV and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ila F. Mace.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Monday, May 27, 2002 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, WV. Reverend Jerry
Bloxton and Reverend Mike Worf will officiate. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery near Spencer, with Masonic and military
graveside rites. Visiting hours are Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
