| Charles C. Exline 85, of Newark, W.Va., passed away at his residence on June 25, 2011.
He was the son of the late Thomas and Thelma (Martine) Exline.
He was a 1942 graduate of Wirt County High School, retired from Borg-Warner, was a life-long member of the Newark Baptist Church, a member of the Elizabeth Masonic Lodge 82 where he was past master and had a 50-year pin.
He spent his life working on the farm and had a great passion for woodworking, gardening and family, especially his grandchildren and his great grandchildren who brought great joy to him in the past few years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Anna (Boggs) Exline; four children, Beth (Jim) Wilson of Newark, Chuck (Pam) Exline of Newark, Susan (Roger) Riel of Moundsville, Mary (Debbie) Exline of Parkersburg.
Nine grandchildren, Hayward (Lori) Wilson of Keyser, W.Va., Jamie Wilson of Gambier, Ohio, Patrick Wilson of Lowell, Janie (Doug) Williams of Newark, Cristal Exline of Cleveland, Cheryl Exline of St Albans W.Va., Calvin (Haylee) Exline of Charleston, Sarah (Sean) Ryan of Railegh, N.C., and Jared Riel of Gainsville, Va.; seven great grandchildren, Jimmy, Harlee and Samuel Williams of Newark and Jayna, Haylea, Dylan Wilson of Keyser; two sisters Dorothy (Lloyd) Fought of Newark and Barbara Exline of Newark; two sister-in-laws: Justine Exline of Newark and Margarate Exline of Plainsfield, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Connie Exline; a great grandson, Sylvie Lee Wilson; a sister, Geraldine Jones; three brothers, Tommy, Paul, and Robert Exline; and a sister-in-law, Babe Exline.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2011, at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth with the Rev. William Thomas officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of the service on Monday.
Interment will be at K of P Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Service.
