Bessie Juanita McCoy Anderson, 92, of Florence, Alabama, formerly of Overgaard and Lakeside, Arizona, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011.
Mrs. Anderson was born February 9, 1919, at Hur, Calhoun County, a daughter of the late John Ira and Mary Virginia Riggs McCoy, the last of nine McCoy siblings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edwin Anderson; brothers, Ernest, Eddie, Howard, Holly, Glen and George McCoy; sisters, Thelma McCoy Roach and Myrtle McCoy Weaver.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Ellen Anderson Bermele of Florence, AL; a son, John Edwin Anderson; one grandchild and three great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 25 at 1:00 p.m. in the Stoney Point New Hope Community Church, Arnoldsburg, with the Rev. Garry L. Bowen officiating.
Burial will be in the Lynch Cemetery, Arnoldsburg. Friends may call Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
