WV State Police in Grantsville say there was an apparent home invasion early Wednesday morning on Little White Oak, in the Chloe area.
Sgt. O. S. Starsick said Brian Jarvis reported a male entered his residence while he and his wife were asleep in a bedroom about 1:30 a.m.
The intruder, according to police, was uttering Jarvis' first name.
"Jarvis' wife awakened him, after which Jarvis ordered the man to leave and they engaged in a scuffle, with the intruder receiving a cut near his eye," said Sgt. Starsick.
Police said the man left the house, but stood outside in the yard, staring at the dwelling. He then left in a white truck, reportedly traveling toward the Pond Run area.
"The victims said the man appeared to be spaced-out on some kind of drugs," the officer said.
Police say they do have a suspect, but are asking residents in the area to call 304-354-6334 if they have any information. |
