| Richard Dale Wood, 59, of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, passed away June 17, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born in Parkersburg WV June 10, 1952 a son of Kenneth Wood of Palestine WV and the late Marion J. Wood.
Richard was a Vietnam veteran and a career cross country truck driver. He was a strong-willed man with a true love for life.
Surviving in addition to his father are a son, Robert Brian Wood of Tennessee; stepmother, Iris Wood of Palestine; brothers, Kenneth "Pecker" Wood of Millstone WV, Jason Wood of Mineral Wells WV, Stephen (Vickie) Wood of Arnoldsburg; nieces, Emily Wood and her daughter Alonna Wood of Spencer WV, Christy Wood of Fairmont WV, Heather Wood Parken and her daughter Olivia Parken and Stephanie Wood all of Arnoldsburg.
Richard is loved by many and will be forever missed.
Private services will be held at a later date at the Orma United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Stump Funeral Home of Arnoldsburg is in charge of arrangements.
