The Lion's club will be taking a slight break for the summer, meeting once
monthly during June, July and August for family picnics.
The club, which donated $750 for the CHS Honors Banquet, will also provide
help with the event.
$300 was donated to the Leader Dog School in Michigan to help with a
building fund.
Numerous items relating to the 40th annual Wood Festival were discussed,
including the line-up of the parade on Saturday June 7. This year the parade
will assemble on Route 16 south, instead of Route 5. Jim McCormick and
Jim Garretson are parade co-chairmen.
Lion members will meet on June 1 at 1 p.m. to assemble the bingo booth.
Some merchandise prizes will be available for bingo winners and a 21-speed
adult bike will be raffled.
