Jeffrey Taylor, a former Calhoun resident, was recently appointed by the West Virginia State Bar to serve as a member of the Lawyer Disciplinary Board.
The Lawyer Disciplinary Board, with the assistance of the Office of Disciplinary Counsel, has jurisdiction to investigate complaints against lawyers regarding legal ethics; to hold hearings on said complaints.
The board makes recommendations with respect to disciplinary action to be taken against lawyers who are found to have committed an ethical violation.
The board consists of two-thirds practicing attorneys and one-third non-lawyers, all of which are appointed by the Board of Governors of the West Virginia State Bar.
Taylor has practiced law in Fairmont for nearly nineteen years and is a partner with the law firm of Rose, Padden & Petty, L.C.
He is married to Barbara Taylor and has two children, Woodrow and Ben. His term as a member of the Lawyer Disciplinary Board will begin in July, 2011.
He is the son of Nancy Taylor and the Late Delano Taylor.
