Two Calhoun County men have been arrested in Nicholas County on felony charges related to operating a clandestine drug lab, according to Lt. Col. Leslie Bailey of Summersville.

A criminal complaint says David Booher, 46, of Altizer Road, Arnoldsburg and Brian Keith Burrows, 30, of Mount Zion, are facing charges related to the operation of a meth lab.

Nicholas authorities initiated a traffic stop Thursday on a 1989 Ford Bronco driven by Burrows. Booher, according to the criminal complaint, was a passenger in the vehicle

Sgt. Jason Lanham obtained written consent to search the vehicle from Burrows, after which he discovered lithium batteries, Sudafed, Drano, and cold packs, saying these items are consistent in the manufacture of meth.

Authorities said both men are facing other unrelated charges, reportedly in Calhoun and Roane County.

Both Burrows and Booher are in Central Regional Jail, with authorities indicating Booher allegedly gave a false ID of Donald Dewayne Simmons, and he was originally booked under that ID.

Bond has been set for both men at $50,000.
