The WV Division of Natural Resources will hold a Hunter Education Class in Calhoun County at the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Dept. on Friday and Saturday, March 15 and 16.
The class will be from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
This is a 10-hour course and students must attend all sessions to be certified. No base hunting license may be issued to a person born on or after January 1, 1975 unless the person presents to the license agent proof of completion of a Hunter Education Course.
The course is open to the public and is free of charge. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult. Students must be 10 years of age to receive permanent certification. Students who are eight and nine years of age will receive a temporary certification.
