| Carol Jean Kee, 71, of Merritt Island, FL, died Sunday, May 22, 2011, in CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, after a short illness.
She was born June 11, 1939, in Charleston, a daughter of the late George A. and Nell E. Lucas Chandler. She was a wife and homemaker. She was also a retired co-owner and co-operator of Palm Bay Florist, Palm Bay, FL, a member of the Florida State Association of Florists, County Florist Association, Past Matron of the Cocoa Chapter #35 Order of the Eastern Star, Cocoa, FL, a member of the Azan Temple White Shrine, Melbourne, FL, and a member of the Church of Christ, Cocoa, FL.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred N. Kee; daughter, Lynn Carol Kee; son Alfred N. Kee, III; four grandchildren; and brother, John F. Chandler of Hurricane, WV.
An Eastern Star memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, May 28, at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, followed by a funeral service with Minister Blaine Cook officiating.
Burial will be in the Gandee Cemetery, Harmony WV. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday.
