| Jerry Wayne McKee, Sr., 44, of Topeka, Kansas departed this life Monday, May 16, 2011 at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
Mr. McKee was a former resident of Grantsville and Mt. Zion, Calhoun County, WV.
He was born December 5, 1966 in Hereford, Texas, the son of Carl Wayne and Georgina Popovsky McKee.
He was a former member of the U.S. Army and had been stationed at Ft.
Riley, Kansas.
He is survived by his father, Carl Wayne McKee, widowed, of the
Philippines; mother, Georgina Popovsky McKee and husband Harvey Stavinoha of Bastrop, Texas; wife, Anna Marie Payne McKee, of Topeka, ; son, Jerry Wayne "JR" McKee, Jr., of Keyser WV; daughter, Kristina McKee Evans and husband Albert Evans, Jr. of Morgantown WV; half-brother, Eljayne Troy McKee of the Philippines; ex-wife, Roberta Shaffer Whetzel of Keyser WV; and numerous other relatives and friends.
In accordance with his wishes, his remains will be cremated. Friends may gather at his Topeka residence in his remembrance on Thursday
afternoon-evening, May 19, 2011. Private family services will be held,
Sunday, May 22nd at 10:00 a.m. in Bastrop TX.
