| About 40 Calhoun voters have cast their ballots since early voting for the governor's race started last week, according to Calhoun Clerk Mike Ritchie.
State officials are also saying the early voting turn-out is light.
There is a huge field of candidates.
Less than a week remains for the early voting period ahead of the Special Gubernatorial Primary Election on Saturday, May 14.
Ritchie says early voting runs through Wednesday, May 11th.
The Special Gubernatorial General Election will be held on Tuesday, October 4th.
