| Arthur William "Sam" Carper, 70, of Looneyville, West Virginia, died Monday, May 2, 2011, at his home.
He was born April 26, 1941, at Amma WV a son of the late Shelton and Lena Taylor Carper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Carper.
Sam was a retired owner and operator of a trucking company in Ohio. He was employed part time at R&M Trucking and John O'Dell's both of Amma.
Survivors include four sisters, Ella Myers of Amma, Wilma Taylor of Clendenin WV, Minnie McCune of Dundee OH and Betty Chapman of Canton OH; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 7 at 11:00 a.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Wayne McGlothlin officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover.
Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
