Calhoun County Pre-K Collaborative will be accepting applications for Preschool with Head Start services for school year 2011-2012.
All children who are 4 years old prior to September 1, 2011 are eligible to apply for enrollment. The enrollment application is available on the school and county websites, as well as the local elementary schools and the Board of Education Office.
All children applying will need to provide physician completed health check information including a hemoglobin test. The form is available at your family physician or local health facility.
Applications and preferably health check information are due by May 13, 2011 and may be either mailed to the Calhoun County Board of Education, Attn: Kathy Nichols at 540 Alan B. Mollohan Drive, Mt. Zion, WV 26151 or dropped off at the Calhoun County Board of Education.
Parents interested in assistance with children 0-3 years of age can call Birth to Three at 1-866-401-8919 or 1-304-485-2000.
Any child ages 3 with a delay should contact the Calhoun County Board of Education at (304)354-7011, Extension 10 to schedule a screening.
Any child ages 5 or 6 years not previously enrolled should contact the school of their district and speak to the secretary about enrollment for the 2011-2012 school year.
