SHOOTING OVER METH USE - A Kanawha County woman was arrested yesterday for allegedly shooting her roommate in the abdomen because she caught him using meth in their residence.
The Kanawha Sheriff's Department responded to Cross Lanes to investigate a shooting and Robert Dean Turner, 49, was found with a single gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Lisa Marie McDavid, 48, told police she got a .22 caliber handgun and shot Turner, after she allegedly found him smoking meth in her bathroom, according to the criminal complaint.
McDavid said she fired the gun at Turner six times, but that the first five shots missed.
McDavid was arrested and charged with five counts of wanton endangerment and one count of malicious wounding.
Turner was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
PUTNAM COUNTY HEIST - Authorities in Putnam County are looking for a man who held up a video lottery machine business at gunpoint, Monday in Teays Valley.
Police say a man rang the doorbell at Lisa's, a coffee shop with video lottery machines, when a worker went to the door, the robber pointed a gun at her, asking for money.
The robber was caught on tape, as he made away with cash. |
