A GSC assistant softball coach was arrested for battery, following an altercation with a neighbor.
Stacey Adkins, 22, was charged by Gilmer authorities after she allegedly went to the residence of Andrea Lynn Starcher on Center Street on April 10th, causing injury to Starcher.
Adkins was "yelling about someone letting her dog loose," according to the criminal complaint.
Sgt. Benton Huffman, after he and other officers took statements, said when "Ms. Starcher stepped out, Ms. Adkins punched her."
A few days later, according to the criminal complaint, it was confirmed that Andrea Lynn Starcher had suffered a broken nose and sprained ankle from the altercation.
Adkins was incarcerated in Central Regional Jail, but has been released on bond.
