Brush fire was difficult to access
The Grantsville VFD responded to a brush fire about 2 p.m. Friday near Bethlehem Baptist Church on Rt. 5, just east of Grantsville.
The fire apparently started from electric lines arcing, Monongahela Power turned the electric off to the lines, which could cause some disruption of service in the area.
The fire was on a steep hillside, a difficult place to reach.
Firemen appeared to be bringing it under control shortly after arrival, although it was being fanned by wind.
