Jarrell Glen Goodnight, Sr., 68, has gone to be with the Lord on April 13, 2011 after a long illness.
He was born Jan. 27, 1943 in Calhoun County, a son of the late Alva Ray and Ruby Snyder Goodnight. He was retired from Mahone Tire Service and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by two sons, Jarrell Glen Goodnight, Jr. and Jerry Lee Goodnight (Loretta); one daughter, Wanda Goodnight (Charlie); longtime companion, Shelia Maley and her children, Bud, Lena and Cameron Maley and their children; three sisters, Helen, Diane and Patsy; three brothers, Denzel, Gary and Butch; seven grandchildren, Becky (Terry), Rick (Lori), Wyatt, Megan, Josh, Brandon and Kameron; four great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Emily, Hailey and Paul the III; one expected great grandson and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Lee Goodnight; two brothers, Shirley Ray and Roy; three sisters, Phyllis, Delores and Sandra.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Marilyn Schroeder officiating.
Burial will follow at Goodnight Cemetery, Calhoun County, W.Va.
