WOMAN STABS HUSBAND WITH BROKEN GLASS - The Nicholas County Sheriff's Department has arrested a woman for stabbing her husband with a piece of broken glass.

Angela Spinks, 29, of Summersville, stabbed her husband Christopher Spinks, 30, in the arm with the broken glass.

According to a press release, when they tried to arrest Mrs. Spinks, she began to fight deputies.

Spinks is charged with unlawful wounding, domestic assault and obstructing an officer.

MAN SHOT IN NECK - A Logan County man is in serious condition after being shot in the neck. The suspect who shot him left the scene.

An altercation broke out between Shawn Kimble, 35, and Leo "Rock" Buggs, 32, according to the State Police.

Police say they believe Buggs shot Kimble once in the neck, and then fled. Kimble was taken to Logan General Hospital before being transferred to CAMC General Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.

A warrant has been issued for Buggs for malicious wounding and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

CHARLESTON MAN STABBED - A Charleston man was stabbed on the West Side, a high risk area of the city.

Justin Elder, 33, of Charleston, told police he was walking along West Washington Street when two men jumped him.

"He said he managed to get one of them in a headlock and the second came from behind and stabbed him in the buttock," police said.

Elder had bite marks, bruises and cuts on his arms and a small puncture wound in his left buttock.

Elder told police he knew the men who attacked him, but refused to give their names or help with the investigation. Hodges said.

"He (Elder) said that was the code of the streets," Charleston Police said.
