The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has reopened Burnsville Lake to boat traffic.
Repairs have been made to a damaged waterline.
Construction is also underway to enhance the structural stability of
three Burnsville Lake tainter gates located on the top of the dam.
A repair crew began working on the structure on April 4. The work is expected to take approximately 6 weeks to complete, and the crew will be working weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
During that time no one will be allowed to cross the top of the dam for safety reasons. Once repairs are complete, the dam will be opened to pedestrian traffic.
