Eugene VanCamp, 74, of Charleston died Feb. 7, 2001, in CAMC Memorial
Hospital after a short illness.
He was born at White Pine, the son of the late Paris and Lelah Simers
Van
Camp. He was the owner of Capital Realty Co., a member of Charleston
Moose
Lodge 1444, holder of the Pilgrim Degree of Merit, a member of Eagles
Aerie
4412, BPOE 202, the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite bodies, Beni Kedem
Shrine,
American Legion Post 15, VFW Post 1212 and DAV Post 6. He was a Navy
veteran
of World War II.
Surviving: wife, Phyllis; daughters, Sandra Bossie, Genia Facemyre and
Pam
Ray, all of Charleston; brothers, Harlan of Harpers Ferry, Ronald of
Glen
Burnie, Md., Richard of Thief River Falls, Minn.; five grandchildren;
one
great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at
Bartlett-Burdette-Cox
Funeral Home, Charleston, where there will be a Pilgrim memorial
service at
7:30.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, at the funeral home with the
Rev.
Alfred Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Mountain Memory
Gardens,
Cross Lanes, with military graveside rites by VFW Post 8129.
