| Martin Jules Layne of Shawnee, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord March 26, 2011 at his residence with his wife by his side.
He was born May 17, 1940 in Belington, Barbour County, WV a son of the late Eugene Kenneth and Joan Yvonne Viquesney Layne.
Martin was married to Mary Francis Peavy Layne on September 19, 1979.
He was a Christian and a long-haul truck driver traveling millions of miles accident free.
He is survived by one daughter, Melissa Joy Layne Gidley of Belpre OH; one step-daughter Karen Kay Jenkins of OK; two sisters, Sharon Yo (Jim) Riffle of Glenville WV and Terry H. Fox of Myrtle Beach SC; and one brother, Gary R. Layne of Normantown WV. There are several grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren surviving, along with many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a half-brother Jerry Layne Mace and his brother-in-law Robert E. Fox, Sr.
Open casket graveside services will be at the Broad Run Baptist Cemetery, Jane Lew, WV on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 1:00 p.m., conducted by Pastor Bryan Groves of Glenville.
