The West Virginia Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause of an early Saturday morning fire on Wigner Street in Grantsville.
Police Chief Jeff Starcher said the fire scene had been secured, and is being treated as "suspicious until otherwise determined by the fire marshal."
The Grantsville Police Department had received an earlier call from the residence related to another matter, prior to the fire being reported to 911 at 4:15 a.m.
