| State Police say a Fayette County mother was killed when the firearm being handled by her eight-year-old son discharged.
Police said the youth was cleaning the gun when it went off.
Sgt. Michael Baylous, spokesman for the WV State Police, said Jennifer Bailes, 29, died Tuesday morning at her home in Hico.
Baylous said the incident is being treated as an accidental shooting.
