Delbert Nathan Jarvis, 75, of Akron, Ohio, passed away Friday, February 4, at Barberton Citizens Hospital in Barberton.
He was born on July 25, 1935 in Newton, West Virginia to McClellan and Mary (Drake) Jarvis.
Delbert
graduated from Spencer (West Virginia) High School and attended West
Virginia Tech. He married Margaret E. Pierson on May 19, 1973, she
preceded him in death in 2001. He served for 4 years in the US Air Force and
retired from General Motors after 40 years of employment. He was a member
of Reimer Road Baptist Church since 1973 and enjoyed camping.
Funeral services were held Feb. 7 at at Roberts Funeral
Home-Hillcrest Chapel in Seville, Ohio with Pastor Jim Newton
officiating, with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Delbert is survived by stepchildren Charlotte (James) Gemmel of Virginia,
Richard Murray of Wadsworth, David Murray of Akron, Jeanine (Glenn) Kozak
of Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters Burlyn
(Arthur) Brannon of Florida, and Doris (William) Mace of Alabama.
