Margie M. Baumgartner, 77 of Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away February 16, 2011.
She was born June, 17 1934 the daughter of the late Ray and Frances Lynch Givens.
She was a 1952 graduate of Wirt County High School, a member of the Humane Society of United States. She worked for the Parkersburg News and Sentinel 47 years holding several different titles. She enjoyed fishing, and collecting owls.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jesse Baumgartner of Parkersburg; 2 sons, Jesse (Butch) Baumgartner and wife Kathy of Parkersburg; Jeff Baumgartner and wife Becky of Warsaw IN; daughter,
Chrissy Hendershot of Elizabeth WV; 6 grandchildren, Andrea and Kasey Baumgartner of Morgantown WV, Sara Gilbert and husband Matt of North Manchester IN, Kati Rice and her husband Ben and Emily Baumgartner all of Warsaw IN, Megan Lockhart (Shawn Cloninger) of Parkersburg WV; 5 great grandchildren, Lexi, Tony, and Peyton Gilbert of North Manchester IN, Becksley Rice of Warsaw IN, and Whitley Cloninger of Parkersburg; 1 sister, Iris; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, February 20 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV with the Rev Raymond Gumm Officiating. Interment will be at Mayberry (New Home) Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, February 19 and Sunday from 9 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
