| Johnnie Smith, 64, of Akron, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011, in Akron.
He was born in Roane County, a son of the late John and Mary Carper Smith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Crihfield.
Johnnie is survived by four children, Betsy Corder and Johnnie Smith, Jr., both of Akron, and Misty Smith and Joseph Smith, both of Glenville WV; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Brenda Davoli of Shinnston WV, and Debra Webb of TX; brothers, Ronnie Smith and Roger Smith, both of Akron.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, February 12, 2011, at 12-noon in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Howard Nichols officiating. Burial will be in the Amma Cemetery, Amma.
Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the service on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, donations for the Smith family may be made to the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, P.O. Box 41, Spencer, WV.
