Rodney C. Lynch, 76 of Creston, West Virginia, passed away February 9, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born December 30, 1934 the son of the late Seaward and Emma Blankenship Lynch.
He aas a 1952 graduate of Wirt County High School, and was retired from NFM Machine Shop of Ohio.
Rod enjoyed the outdoors, from bow and rifle hunting, to fishing.
He was a Christian and knew the true meaning of friendship and showed it in so many ways.
He is survived by 1 daughter, Renee Gray of Akron, OH; 2
granddaughters, Lisa and Christie Gray both of Akron; 1 special grandson, Adam Fontaine of Elizabeth WV; 1 special brother, Glenn Long of Palestine WV; several nieces and nephews and his extended family in Creston, that he loved and enjoyed being with.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert and Randall Lynch.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 12 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV with the Rev. Delmas Stutler officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery (Groundhog) Creston WV.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 11 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
