| Helen Rose Richards, 86, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away January 31, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg.
Born at West Union, she was a daughter of the late Brooks and Maxine Cox Coplin.
She was a US Army veteran having served in the Womens Army Corps in Japan. She previously attended the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church when she lived in Calhoun County.
Surviving are two brothers, David (Mae) Coplin of Parkersburg and Pauldin (Shirley) Coplin of Weston WV; one sister, Euna Ford of Youngstown OH; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Richards; a stepson, Eugene Price and a stepdaughter, Dorothy Richards.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, February 3 at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville WV. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of services.
