| The West Virginia Health Care Authority has approved the merger of Parkersburg's two hospitals.
The authority granted a certificate of need allowing West Virginia United Health System to buy St. Joseph's Hospital and affiliate with Camden-Clark Hospital.
Both hospitals will operate as subsidiaries of the larger health system.
The merger will be completed between March 1 and April 1.
