State Police have arrested a Clay County man and charged him with trying to hire someone to kill his former business partner.
Brent Boggs, 53, (left) of Big Otter, is in Central Regional Jail on $500,000 bond.
Central Regional Jail says he is charged with solicitation to commit murder.
Boggs was arrested yesterday at his home and charged with solicitation of first-degree murder, according to the State Police in Clay.
Police say the Clay County man had attempted to hire someone to kill a Charleston-area man, whose name is not being released.
State Police said they have been investigating the case for several weeks with the cooperation of the individual whom Boggs had asked to commit the murder.
