Ava Elladean Stutler, 77 - Parkersburg

Ava Elladean Stutler, 77, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away January 17, 2011, at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Calhoun County, W.Va., the daughter of the late Floyd Samual Taylor and Bessie Kerby George.

She had worked for over 20 years for the Parkersburg News and Sentinel and was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church. She was an avid reader who loved her family and adored her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Dorothy "Sue" Nelson, Tammy Stutler and David Stutler, all of Parkersburg; her sisters, Alta Starkey of Grantsville, W.Va., and Artie Perkins of Fayetteville, W.Va.; her grandchildren, Shelby West McCauley, James West, Kayla Stutler, Michael Bailey, Samantha Stutler and Sarah Cruikshank; one great-granddaughter, Laura McCauley; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Woodrow Stutler; one daughter, Margaret Stutler; two brothers, Harold Hannah and Harlow George.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 22nd at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Pastor Wayne Boone officiating. Burial will be in the Hur Cemetery near Grantsville.

Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
