SHOOT-OUT IN CHARLESTON - A 15-year-old Charleston male is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being shot in the face during a shootout on the West Side of Charleston Monday evening.
The youth is in critical condition in a Charleston hospital.
Multiple shots were fired around 5:30 p.m. in an alley.
Sgt. Eric Hodges with the Charleston Police Department Criminal Investigation Division said two men had been shot in an alley.
Police said a second victim, a 28-year-old male, received a gunshot wound to his left calf and a graze-type wound to his right ankle, considered non-life threatening.
Police believe there were at least two people firing guns in the incident.
A neighbor told Charleston newspapers there was blood all over the alley, and the fire department was called to hose it down.
Police have yet to release a motive. There have been numerous shootings in that area of Charleston, including six homicides during the last year.
ST. ALBANS STABBING - A stabbing left one man injured and a woman being questioned by police.
The stabbing was reported near the Go-Mart just before 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Dispatchers say a woman allegedly stabbed a man in the face.
MARTINSBURG SHOOTING - An autopsy at the state Medical Examiner's Office has been scheduled for the victim of a Martinsburg shooting.
Martinsburg Police say Damon Scott was shot and killed outside of Club Zero Saturday.
They have Brock Jerome Smith, 21, of Hagerstown, Maryland in custody in a Maryland jail, awaiting extradition.
Smith and two others were arrested after a police pursuit.
RESTAURANT STABBING - Grafton Police say Jason McCann stabbed Derek Ward in his stomach during a fight at Jerry's Restaurant, Friday.
When Police arrived on scene, they couldn't find Ward but they later found McCann, who says he only stabbed the man during the fight because he was quote "scared".
McCann tells Police that before he left the restaurant, he tossed the knife in the garbage can. He is being charged with unlawful assault and is out on bond.
