The Hur Herald just recently published information about the latest investigation of the Mt. Zion PSD that is being done by the Commission on Special Investigations in Charleston.
Norma Collins, who does work for the Mt. Zion PSD, told Spencer Newspapers the special investigation was supposed to be "hush hush."
While the Calhoun Commission was aware of the investigation last summer, and agreed with the investigating agency not to comment,
word about the investigation was widely leaked to the community at least by last September, not by the county commission.
After hearing about the latest special investigation from several individuals months ago, and being asked questions about it, a decision was still made not to publish the information until 2011.
Now that it has been published, it is hardly news.
