| Samuel Alton Simonds, 67, of Nebo, West Virginia, passed away December 25, 2010 at his home.
Born in Roane County WV, he was a son of William Alton Simonds and Mildred Ellen Lee Simonds.
He was a US Army veteran, serving in the 82nd Airborne and was a retired mechanic.
Surviving are his children, Tammy Graves, Samuel Simonds, Paula Thebert and Jennifer Simonds; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two children, Clifford and Barbara Simonds.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28 at Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg WV. Interment will be in the Clover Cemetery at Spencer WV.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
