Cold weather and snow continue to be the mainstay in the Creston area with more of the white stuff falling over the weekend. The Big Eared One determined, that with the obvious cool weather & the debunking of the global warming hoax, his cap & tax plan is doomed in congress so now he plans to rule by decree and the EPA is going to issue new edicts concerning carbon dioxide that will cost business and taypayers huge sums for no benefit whatsoever.
At the behest of the Big Eared One the Big Boss in 2009 had the august body that meets at the Mouth of the Elk to mandate a 25% reduction of coal at W. Va. power plants with the difference to be made up with "renewable sources such as biomass". In places like India the very poor use biomass to cook food. Biomass in such situations is defined as "organic waste from humans and animals". Some might use other terms.
The census figures are now out and it is said that the population of W. Va. grew 2.5% since last time. Of course several Creston area residents were not counted at all.
The Big Boss who is now playing senator said that, if he had been there he would have voted against the Dream Act (Amnesty for illegal aliens) and homosexuality in the military bill. He conveniently had a 'family gathering' when the votes were taken so he can have a "cleaner" record when he runs for reelection in 2012.
Angie Nida, the famed military musician, has been spending time visiting her parents, Mr. & Mrs. H. Wayne Nida.
Gay Belt reported that there was a big group at her place for Christmas and that others took care of the dishes, etc.
The price of gasoline has now gone above $3.10/gallon but, since the PC are in power there is no outrage in the press about Biden getting rich, etc. The price reflects in part the devalued dollar that George Soros, the Big Eared One's Sugar Daddy called for.
There is talk going around that California, Illinois & New York (the states) are near bankruptcy because of ill advised financial commitments to bloated salaries, pensions, etc. and that West Virginia isn't too far behind now that federal bailouts are coming to an end.
The Tee Vee is plastered with advertisements (Propaganda) promoting Obamacare and the wonders of all the "freebies" that "someone else" will have to pay for at some time, perhaps with interest.
The price of local Penn grade crude rose to $86/bbl.
The Tom Cats have been out and about visiting the ladies. There has also been some cat fights and resultant squalling, etc.
The next Creston auction is, weather permitting, January 8, 2011.
