WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR CALHOUN AND SOME REGIONAL COUNTIES

Weather Advisory remains in effect until 4 PM EST Monday.

* Precipitation type: periods of snow transitioning to snow showers of varying intensity on Sunday into Monday.

* Accumulations: 1 to 3 inches each 12 hour period tonight... Sunday... Sunday night and Monday... except 2 to 5 inches each 12 hour period in the High Mountain terrain.

* Timing: through Monday afternoon.

* Impacts: with the cold ground untreated surfaces could quickly become snow covered and may become icy.

* Winds: winds will increase on Sunday causing blowing snow across open areas mainly for elevations above 3000 feet.

* Wind chills: Will all below zero Sunday into Monday for the mountainous areas above 3000 feet in elevation. The few locations above 4000 feet could see wind chills of minus 10 to minus 20.

Precautionary/preparedness actions: Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Allow extra travel time for slower safe speeds. Be prepared for snow covered roads.
