We extend a warm and joyous holiday greeting to the readers of The Hur Herald, as we reflect on some Christmas memories in the Village of Hur.
HUR CHRISTMAS MEMORIES
A drum, a bugle, hard-rock candy, mistletoe and a Christmas kiss.
A new fallen snow on the Husk, snowballs, snowmen and sleds.
Santa Claus, family, children, music, holly, laughter and love.
The Hur churches Christmas program, not to be outdone.
A chiming bell, a Christmas choir, the smell of pine, a table spread full, and memories of times gone by.
Prayers for peace, neighbors, family and friends and "The Night before Christmas."
Most important of all, a bright star in the East, wise men, shepherds, and a manger scene.
A powerful voice, still echoing from 2000 years ago, not silenced by death nor time ... "I am the way, the truth and
the life."
Merry Christmas.
