| Michael Dean Lawson, 56, of Spencer, West Virginia, died November 24, 2010, at home.
He was born April 15, 1954 in W.Va., a son of the late Lilburn and Garnet Meadows Lawson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Perry.
Mike was a rig hand. He was a 1974 graduate of Walton High School and attended the Faith Baptist Church, Spencer. He enjoyed watching football games and NASCAR.
Survivors include his daughter, Cindy Legg of Gandeeville; granddaughter, Felicia Legg; brothers, Jimmy Lawson of Spencer and Roy Lawson of Pineville; sisters, Mary Williams of Kenna and Sandy Shafer of Elkview.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, November 30 in the Walton Union Church, Walton, with Bill Walton officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Rocky Branch Cemetery, Walton.
John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
