| The number of speeding tickets issued on the WV Turnpike has more than doubled.
The WV State Police say it is all about public safety, cracking down on the 88-mile stretch of highway.
The 25 officers who patrol the Turnpike issued 604 speeding tickets in October, a 122-percent increase from the number issued in October 2009.
