The Calhoun High School Lady Red Devil Volleyball team finished their season with a 34-17 record and set several school records including most wins in a season, first sectional championship, first regional championship and second trip in school history to the state tournament.
Along with these team accomplishments, came the announcement last week of several individual awards for the Lady Red Devils.

Named to the 1st Team Class A All-State team for the second year was Senior, Setter, Ashley Houchin.
Houchin had a 97% service rate with 668 serves out of 689 attempts for 451 points with 113 aces for the Devils. She set at a 98% rate with 3262/3312 sets and garnered 931 assists. She also recorded 102 kills, 92 blocks and 198 digs. During the course of the season she was named to the All Tournament team at the Nicholas County Invitational, Charleston Catholic Irish Invitational and the All Tournament Team for the Class A State Tournament. She was also selected as repeat member of the 1st Team - All Little Kanawha Conference Team for 2010.
Named as Captain of the 2nd Team Class A All-State team was Junior, Middle Hitter/Blocker, Amber Wilford. Wilford had a 90% service rate with 391 serves out of 435 attempts for 254 points with 88 aces.
She hit at 90% also connecting on 1208 spikes out of 1348 attempts and put down 465 kills. She had 157 blocks and 123 digs. During the course of the season she was named to the All Tournament team at the Doddridge County Invitational, Nicholas County Invitational, and Charleston Catholic Irish Invitational. She was also selected as a member of the 1st team - All Little Kanawha Conference Team for 2010.

Named to the Special Honorable Mention Class A All-State team was Junior, Outside Hitter, Rochelle Gerwig. Gerwig served at 95% with 539 serves out of 567 attempts for 339 points with 66 aces. She hit at 89% with 605 spikes out of 676 attempts and registered 151 kills. She had 216 digs and 6 blocks.
Gerwig was named as a member of the 2nd Team - All Little Kanawha Conference Team for 2010.
Named to the Special Honorable Mention All Little Kanawha Conference Team for 2010 was, Junior, Outside Hitter, Jordan Mace. Mace served at 89% with 432 serves out of 486 attempts for 274 points and 78 aces. She hit at 85% with 371 spikes out of 435 attempts and put down 105 kills. She had 26 blocks and 153 digs.
