Flood Watch in effect through Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service in Charleston has expanded the
Flood Watch to include portions of central West Virginia,
northern West Virginia and southern West Virginia.
Including Calhoun, Braxton, Clay, Gilmer and Roane.
In northern West Virginia,
Doddridge, Ritchie and Tyler.
In southern West Virginia,
Boone, Kanawha, Logan, and Mingo.
* Through Thursday morning
A strong storm system with abundant rain will move through the
region. The most significant rainfall will occur tonight (Tuesday). Total
rainfall amounts from this system will range between 1.50 to
3.00 inches.
This may be enough to cause flooding on small
streams and creeks in the watch area. Also sharp rises on area
rivers may occur. |
