The Promise Scholarship bugs are being removed, according to Gov. Bob
Wise, who will come to Calhoun on Wednesday, May 8 at 12:15 p.m. for
Calhoun's Promise Scholarship Banquet.
High school seniors who failed to qualify because their grade point average
fell shy of the 3.0 mark are getting a second chance. Students can not use
grades earned in Spring 2002.
Another extension was granted to about 300 students who failed to file
financial forms with their applications.
About 3,800 West Virginia students have already qualified, and the appeals
board is adding about 25 more each day.
Students who have questions should contact their school counselor.
