MAN WAVES GUN AT FIREMEN - A St. Albans man was arrested after allegedly waving a rifle at firefighters, members of the West Side Volunteer Fire Department.
Firemen called deputies after a drunk man holding a rifle allegedly confronted them when they tried to respond to a fire in the 200 block of Sargent Street, according to Lt. Bryan Stover of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.
Police discovered an intoxicated Thomas Michael Yoder, 37, in the back yard with a .22 caliber rifle in his hands.
After ignoring orders from deputies to put the weapon down, Yoder was shot with a Taser gun and subdued, police said.
He was charged with brandishing a weapon and obstructing an officer and taken to the South Central Regional Jail.
