| Two brush fires were contained by local fire departments during the past 2 days.
A fire erupted yesterday afternoon at 2:51 p.m. on Rt. 16 about a mile south of Arnoldsburg. The fire was contained to a small area near a house. The Upper West Fork VFD responded.
Monday night a fire was reported on Red Tail Lane at 8:49 p.m., a short distance from Rt. 16, Barr Hill, south of Grantsville.
The Grantsville VFD answered the call, and contained the blaze.
Woods are now high risk for fire, with heavy leaf fall and a small amount of rainfall during the Fall season. |
