The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention revealed a study last week that West Virginia ranks number two in the number of smokeless tobacco users.
The national average of smokeless tobacco users is 2% of the state's population.
In WV, 9% of both men and women rely on this form of tobacco for a nicotine fix.
When people buy one can of smokeless tobacco a day, it will run them approximately $21.00 a week. Individual cans cost between $2.50 and $3.50 each.
The companies warn users on every can against the addictive nature of nicotine and possible cancer risks.
