The County's annual Thanksgiving-Food Pantry services will be held November 14th through 17th.
This revival-type event is called a food drive, with one of the goals being to gather food items, but the services encompass much more.
"We extend an invitation to everyone in Calhoun County to join us during these celebrations of generosity and help us help those in need," says volunteer Pete Trippett.
The rally is a starting point for awareness, how severe the plight and magnitude of hunger is right here in Calhoun County.
The focus is on how the community can overcome it, and an awareness that many of our neighbors need this program just to make ends meet.
During the current recession, the unemployed and others are finding it necessary to ask for help for the first time.
