(10/11/2010)
The WV State Police in Grantsville have issued a warrant for a man who they say robbed the Calhoun Bank in Arnoldsburg on Sept. 13.

Richard "Ricky" Vance, 21, who has an Orma address, is at large, according to detachment commander Sgt. O. S. Starsick.

Vance, who has a criminal record, has been "floating in and out of the county."

A photo of the suspect is not yet available.

The criminal complaint is charging him with 1st degree armed robbery and the theft of an ATV from a Walnut area residence. The ATV is yet to be recovered.

Sgt. Starsick said, "We have not ruled out other individuals that could have been part of the robbery."

Vance is being charged with going to the Calhoun Bank at Arnoldsburg on an ATV and holding-up the establishment with a knife.

Authorities have yet to release the amount of money taken.

State Police have been following numerous tips and leads regarding suspects for several weeks, said Sgt. Starsick.

"If anyone knows Vance's whereabouts, please call us at 304-354-6334," Starsick said.

It was the second robbery at the Arnoldsburg branch bank in less than two years, the robberies being the first such incidents in Calhoun County in over 100 years.
